Parent Resources

We want to partner with the parents of students here at Greenwood Baptist Church to help develop students into disciples of Christ who will mature in faith beyond the reaches of our Student Ministry. It is our firm belief that the parents should be the primary source of discipleship in their students lives, and research has shown that the parents have far more influence in maturing a student's walk with Christ than the local Student Ministry ever could.

We want to make resources available to you, the parent, so that you feel fully equipped and prepared to walk with your student during some of the most difficult challenges and questions that they will face during their time in middle school and high school.

We also want to partner with you as we teach your students on Wednesdays and Sundays so that you can have faith talks at home with your students to build onto what they have learned in their LifeGroups and MidWeek studies.

  • Our D6 curriculum provides a Parent Page to help you continue discipling your students at home based off of what they learned at LifeGroups on Sunday mornings. These Parent Pages also make a great supplement if your student misses LifeGroups on a particular Sunday.

  • Starting this summer you will be able to click here to get information about what your students will be learning about in Wednesday MidWeek Bible Studies. Passages of Scripture covered, Lesson Points, and Discussion Questions will be available here.

  • Occasionally we will open our doors to you parents to come and worship with your students. We want you to see what your students do during MidWeek first hand, and we want to create opportunities for family worship, even in our Student Ministry setting. Find our when the next parent night is here.

D6 Life Group Curriculum

Our Youth Life Group classes are now using the new D6 EveryDay Curriculum!

About the D6 EveryDay Curriculum:

CHURCH is the primary equipper of parents.

PARENTS are the primary disciplers in the home.

D6 connects the church to home and families to one another. D6 EveryDay Curriculum is one of the most effective small group and Sunday School curricula you can find. D6 is based on the principles of Deuteronomy 6:5-9—love God, love His Word, and teach your children to do the same.

D6 EveryDay Curriculum aligns small group environments at church so the entire family (elementary-adult) is studying the same theme at the same time. The cool thing is, it doesn’t stop at the church worship experience. This one of a kind discipleship curriculum goes beyond the small group experience and helps parents and grandparents reconnect with kids and teens through the use of devotional study guides, Splink, Parent Pages, and other take-home resources that help equip the home.

MidWeek Bible Study

Our MidWeek Bible Study is on Wednesdays starting at 6:30PM and goes until 7:30PM.

At MidWeek we dig deeper into God's Word, participate in student led worship, and enjoy games and fellowship with one another.

Our MidWeek Bible study is a come one come all Bible study. We typically do our studies book by book, chapter by chapter, though there will be the occasional topical series.

Sunday Morning Student ConnectGroups

Join us on Sunday Mornings at 9:45 a.m. for Student ConnectGroups!

On Sundays we split into smaller groups for a more relational and conversationally driven bible study.

Be sure to hang around afterwards for our Church Service at 10:50 a.m. in the Sanctuary.
